The Edge of Darkness
Written by Brian Clemens
Directed by Roger Hodge
5 – 10 June 2000
Trying to unravel the twists and turns of the plot of this turn of the century thriller kept audiences entertained all evening. Emma is found in a hospital by her parents after being missing for three years. Her memory is damaged and she does not remember much of her old life. Neither has she any recollection of the last three years although she now understands certain Russian phrases and has become fearful of knives and a silver bell. Why should this have been? The new ‘hired man’ acts rather oddly too. What was his interest in the Cranwell family? And why had her parents, Max and Laura, a somewhat ambivalent attitude towards her? If you didn’t see our production this time … you will have to wait for a repeat performance!
